Antique Victorian oval locket set in 9ct yellow gold. The back and front of the locket have beautiful ornate engravings. On the back of the locket it has ivy leaf and a shield. In the Victorian era the Ivy leaf symbolised love, affection, fidelity, friendship and affection.
The piece is 9ct yellow gold on the back and front where the engraving sits, the other part of the locket is set in brass. Brass was used for locket manufacture because it was more durable.

The locket is in good antique condition. On the inside of the locket one side of the piece has been reinforced.
